The Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr David Toganivalu, has been appointed as the Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).

In addition to his responsibilities as the Acting DPP, Mr Toganivalu will also handle FICAC as the Acting Commissioner. Mr Toganivalu’s appointment comes into effect from 25th September, 2023 until 25th November, 2023.

Mr Toganivalu said, “I received my letter of appointment this morning (22.09.23). I am honoured and I also take this role as a challenge. I am looking forward to working with the staff of FICAC and seeing how we can improve on the investigation and prosecution of corruption related matters.”
